A path to the beach is a visual collage of street markings that lead down to the shore in long beach. reflecting upon human attempts to partition, organize, and claim ownership of space, it suggests other narratives in the process..

 
Betsy Lohrer Hall, born in NY, now resides in Long Beach, CA. She received her MFA from CSU Fullerton in 2003.

Betsy Lohrer Hall is a multi-media artist whose projects are conceptually driven and process-oriented, involving the passage of time.  She has been exhibiting her work for over 16 years.  Recent projects include Airport Lace at White Box Gallery, San Pedro, Lost and Missing Trees, at El Camino College Art Gallery in Torrance, and a collaborative, participatory installation, Seems Familiar with Los Angeles artist Edith Abeyta, at Acorn Gallery, Highland Park.  She is currently working on a series of large scale gouache paintings on paper.  She teaches at CSU Fullerton and Fullerton College.
